Editorial standards

How the guides are researched, checked and kept current.

  • Primary sources first

Each guide starts from the people who set the rules: Telegram’s own FAQ, API documentation and announcements, and each network’s help centre and policies. Reporting and research come after, named as such.

  • Every fact is linked

A guide lists its sources at the end, each with the date someone last checked that page. Where a platform doesn’t publish a limit or a rule, the guide says so instead of guessing a number.

  • Updated when the facts move

Each guide shows the day it was published and, when it changes, the day it was updated. Each guide also carries a date by which its facts are checked again, and the updated date changes only when the words do.

  • Who publishes the guides

The guides are published by Dripl, which makes a Telegram automation tool. They mention it only where it is relevant to the question, and every sentence about it describes what the product does today.
